THE BIG SLEEP - POLE POSITION
The Big Sleep - pole position consists of two spatially separate segments. In the first space, which is brightly lit, there is a bench and four red self-adhesive dots on the opposite wall. In the second, a darkened area, there is a red chair. The bench was conceived of as a spot or place for extrospection, and can be extended; the chair is designed for introspection and can be used in two different positions, one for thinking and one for daydreaming. In each space one wall and floor are coved with paper stripes.
